The striking Walter Süskindbrug in the centre of Amsterdam was in need of replacement. The new drawbridge had to have the look of the past, but the durability of today. Based on the design provided, we made the steel uprights and the bridge decks. The client encased the steel in a white wooden frame. In this way, the historic townscape was preserved.
The bridge not only had to meet the requirements of sustainability and appearance, but it also had to be easier to operate. We manufactured the hoisting and driving gear for the operation. Finally, we signed for installation and assembly.
