Truss girder

This girder serves as the approach security for the underwater cycle shed at Amsterdam Central Station. The colossus, about 40 metres long and 4.5 to 5 metres high, weighs about 90 tonnes and is made mainly of tubular material in execution class EXC. 3.

Not only the construction was heavy, but also the package of requirements: CE-declaration, DOP (Declaration of Performance) method 3a (Z.A. 3.4), manufacturing report, material certificates (EN10204) 3.1 and additional tests and NDT report.
